In a riveting interview on TruNews Radio, Wednesday, private investigator Doug Hagmann said high-level, reliable sources told him the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is preparing for “massive civil war” in America.

“We have problems . . . The federal government is preparing for civil uprising,” he added, “so every time you hear about troop movements, every time you hear about movements of military equipment, the militarization of the police, the buying of the ammunition, all of this is . . . they (DHS) are preparing for a massive uprising.”

Hagmann goes on to say that his sources tell him the concerns of the DHS stem from a collapse of the U.S. dollar and the hyperinflation a collapse in the value of the world’s primary reserve currency implies to a nation of 311 million Americans, who, for the significant portion of the population, is armed.

Uprisings in Greece is, indeed, a problem, but an uprising of armed Americans becomes a matter of serious national security, a point addressed in a recent report by the Pentagon and highlighted as a vulnerability and threat to the U.S. during war-game exercises at the Department of Defense last year, according to one of the DoD’s war-game participants, Jim Rickards, author of Currency Wars: The Making of the Next Global Crisis.

Through his sources, Hagmann confirmed Rickards’ ongoing thesis of a fear of a U.S. dollar collapse at the hands of the Chinese (U.S. treasury bond holders of approximately $1 trillion) and, possibly, the Russians (threatening to launch a gold-backed ruble as an attractive alternative to the U.S. dollar) in retaliation for aggressive U.S. foreign policy initiatives against China’s and Russia’s strategic allies Iran and Syria.

“The one source that we have I’ve known since 1979,” Hagmann continued. “He started out as a patrol officer and currently he is now working for a federal agency under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security; he’s in a position to know what policies are being initiated, what policies are being planned at this point, and he’s telling us right now—look, what you’re seeing is just the tip of the iceberg. We are preparing, we, meaning the government, we are preparing for a massive civil war in this country.”

“There’s no hyperbole here,” he added, echoing Trends Research Institute’s Founder Gerald Celente’s forecast of last year. Celente expects a collapse of the U.S. dollar and riots in America some time this year.

Since Celente’s ‘Civil War’ prediction of last year, executive orders NDAA and National Defense Resources Preparedness were signed into law by President Obama, which are both politically damaging actions taken by a sitting president.

And most recently, requests made by the DHS for the procurement of 450 million rounds of hollow-point ammunition only fuels speculation of an upcoming tragic event expected on American soil.

These major events, as shocking to the American people as they are, have taken place during an election year.

Escalating preparatory activities by the executive branch and DHS throughout the last decade—from the Patriot Act, to countless executive orders drafted to suspend (or strip) American civil liberties “are just the beginning” of the nightmare to come, Hagmann said.

He added, “It’s going to get so much worse toward the election, and I’m not even sure we’re going to have an election in this country. It’s going to be that bad, and this, as well, is coming from my sources. But one source in particular said, ‘look, you don’t understand how bad it is.’ This stuff is real; these people, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), they are ready to fight the American people.”

TruNews Wiles asked Hagmann: who does the DHS expect to fight, in particular? Another North versus South, the Yankees against the Confederates? Hagmann stated the situation is far worse than a struggle between any two factions within the U.S.; it’s an anticipated nationwide emergency event centered on the nation’s currency.

“What they [DHS] are expecting, and again, this is according to my sources, what they’re expecting is the un-sustainability of the American dollar,” Hagmann said. “And we know for a fact that we can no longer service our debt. There’s going to be a period of hyperinflation . . . the dollar will be worthless . . . The economic collapse will be so severe, people won’t be ready for this.”

Claims non-prohibited items were never confiscated despite multiple accounts proving they were

The TSA has once again been caught blatantly lying to the public in an effort to cover the ridiculous actions of its own employees.

Last week stories once again began to circulate about the TSA agents on power trips confiscating erroneous items such as multi tools and nail clippers. Worse still, the passengers they took the items from were fully armed soldiers returning from Afghanistan.

On its official blog the TSA once again denied that any of the stories were true, and implied that they had all been made up to make the agency look bad.

The TSA blog also linked to a previous post “debunking” the stories and claiming that it was an “urban legend” that nail clippers had ever been confiscated from anybody because they are not prohibited items.

With evidence presented in just a few comments on the blog however, it becomes clear that the TSA is once again telling bald faced lies.

One commenter points to several different mainstream news articles in which accounts of TSA agents confiscating nail clippers are mentioned:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7670500/ns/msnbc_tv-countdown_with_keith_olbermann/

“Ever wonder what happened to those nail clippers confiscated before boarding a plane? Monica Novotny found that seized items may be up for for sale online.”

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/09/eveningnews/main1302676.shtml

“In Harrisburg, Pa., there’s a warehouse chock-full of the knives, scissors, tools and other items confiscated at checkpoints at three major East Coast airports since 9/11….Fifteen pounds of used nail clippers “would usually go for $20 or $20,” says Mary Beth Enggren, who runs the salvage program for Pennsylvania.”

http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/2006-02-06-confiscate-usat_x.htm

“Some fliers, though, view it differently. April Miller, a Chicago-based regional manager for a publishing company, says TSA screeners at the city’s Midway Airport took a $25 eyelash curler and a nail clipper without giving her an option. “They just took the items and said I could not board with them,” she says.”

And so on, and so on. Try a simple Google search for ‘TSA Nail Clipper’

STOP LYING, BOB. Or at least make the lies a little harder to prove.

“It would be refreshing if instead of insisting that nail clippers were never banned there was an acknowledgement that there was confusion on this point by the screeners in the past. Better yet an apology.” another commenter states.

So I guess once again it’s a case of who do you believe. Is it those in multiple accounts cited by mainstream and alternative media reports or is it the government agency that has been caught consistently lying to cover its own back?

Push continues for other States to introduce “Traveler’s Bill of Rights”

Hawaii Senators this week passed a resolution for a “Traveler’s Bill of Rights”, aimed at making the TSA more accountable and putting a stop to over reach and abuses.

Minority Leader Sam Slom, R-Hawaii, authored the legislation based on Congressman Ron Paul’s American Traveler Dignity Act, at the federal level.

Much like Paul’s bill, the resolution declares that no employee of the federal agency is immune from the law when it comes to pat-downs and the use of potentially harmful radiation scanners on Americans.

Other specific issues include constitutional rights, invasion of privacy and civil rights, child protection and fiscal issues.

Senators on the Hawaii Transportation and Public Safety/Military Affairs committees, unanimously passed the legislation, states the Hawaii Reporter.

Senator Slom is a member of a national, bipartisan legislative caucus, known as the “United States for Travel Freedom” caucus, formed one year ago specifically to oppose TSA intrusions. Slom has also introduced legislation to altogether prohibit the use of non-consensual body scanners.

Representatives from several other states are also on board with the caucus, they include Alaska State Representative Sharon Cissna and Washington State Senator Val Stevens, as well as Republican and Democrat legislators from Alaska, Hawaii, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.

Representative Cissna, R-Alaska, has spearheaded the multi-state effort against the TSA. In her own state she has introduced legislation to criminalize both invasive pat downs and body scans that produce naked images.

Cissna, a 68-year-old cancer survivor who suffered molestation and abuse in her youth, made shock waves back in February of 2011 when she refused to submit to a TSA grope-down and was subsequently prevented from flying from Seattle, Washington to her home in Alaska.

“Ordinary citizens across this country have told us they are being treated like common criminals by the TSA.” said Cissna, in testimony submitted to the Hawaii Legislature.

Cissna also noted that the TSA’s current procedures “do not have verifiable oversight over their equipment and give very poor management and training to their employees.”

“Security is not being served by the current program. We must demand better.” she added.

These latest developments set the stage for another states’ rights battle with the government over the TSA. When Texas lawmakers tried to pass similar legislation last year, the federal government threatened to enforce a no fly zone over the lone star state, and the measure was eventually defeated after a lengthy legislative struggle.

Along with the news last week that several airports are considering evicting TSA screeners, it is now clear that the fight to crush the TSA power grab is making significant headway.

Toddler with broken leg groped, swabbed for explosives

The following video provides airports with yet another fantastic reason to evict TSA screeners and replace them with private security – the clip shows a 3-year-old boy with a broken leg in a wheelchair being harassed by a TSA worker.

The incident occurred at O’Hare Airport in Chicago and was recorded by the father of the 3-year-old boy.

A TSA agent begins conducting a pat down of the boy who is sitting in a wheelchair with a broken leg. The boy is confused at being fondled by a stranger and reaches out to his parents for support but they cannot touch him because they have been ordered to stay clear by the TSA agent.

The boy begins trembling and is clearly upset as the creepy TSA moron begins swabbing his cast, his hands and his wheelchair for explosives.

The TSA goon then asks the father to lift up the boy’s shirt so he can swab his body too, offering to conduct this part of the harassment in a private room.

While the boy is being harassed, an old woman with a cane is also told to stand back and wait for an advanced pat down, with the TSA again proving themselves adept at being able to single out the most likely terrorists – nearly crippled senior citizens and toddlers with broken legs in wheelchairs.

Only after several minutes of this pointless, degrading and shameful treatment is the boy allowed to pass security.

This video represents yet another sterling reason why airports should take advantage of a new law that allows them to opt-out of using TSA agents to provide security screening.

Harassing three-year-old children in wheelchairs on their way to Disneyland is not a proficient method of preventing terrorism. If the terrorists attacked us because they hate our freedom, as we were told after 9/11, then footage like this proves that the terrorists have won.

Meanwhile, yet more TSA agents have been caught engaged in criminal acts.

41-year-old TSA agent Michael Scott Wilson has been indicted on federal porn charges after allegedly being found in possession of a video “depicting a prepubescent female engaged in masturbation and anal sex with an adult male”. These are the same people groping your children.

A TSA screener who worked at Newark International was also busted while still wearing her TSA uniform at a major heroin den near an elementary school. 22-year-old Samirah Saunders is accused of helping to distribute 1,400 packets of heroin.

Orlando Sanford International could prompt stampede of other opt-outs

One of America’s busiest airports, Orlando Sanford International, has announced it will opt out of using TSA workers to screen passengers, a move which threatens the highly unpopular federal agency’s role in other airports across the nation.

“The president of the airport said Tuesday that he would apply again to use private operators to screen passengers, using federal standards and oversight,” reports the Miami Herald.

With Sanford International having originally been prevented by the TSA from opting out back in November 2010 when the federal agency froze the ability for airports to use their own private screeners, a law passed by the Senate last month forces the TSA to reconsider applications.

Larry Dale hinted that the move was motivated by the innumerable horror stories passengers have told of their encounters with the TSA, noting that the change was designed to provide a more “customer friendly” operation.

The agency has been slow to reissue the guidelines on the the rule change, prompting Republican Representatives John Mica of Florida, Darrell Issa of California and Jason Chaffetz of Utah to press TSA head John Pistole to implement the mandate.

Appearing at Orlando Sanford International yesterday, Mica said he had written to 200 airports advising them of the opportunity to op out of using TSA screeners.

Orlando Sanford is in the top 30 busiest airports in the world, with large numbers of takeoffs and landings.

The TSA has been keen to downplay the opportunity for airports to dispense with their screeners, fearing a mass exodus that could undermine the justification for the agency’s continued existence, especially given the fact that its reputation has been repeatedly savaged by a number of scandals.

The most recent controversy involved a viral You Tube video created by engineer Jon Corbett which demonstrated how the TSA’s body scanners were virtually useless because they are unable to detect objects carried on the side of the body carried in a pocket.

The TSA responded by threatening the media not to cover the issue while putting out a blog statement that completely failed to rebut the claims made by Corbett.

A November 2010 poll found that the TSA’s “enhanced pat downs,” some of which include touching genitalia, angered 57% of regular adult fliers.

West Yellowstone Airport in Montana has already replaced its TSA screeners with private security. Bert Mooney Airport, also in Montana, is attempting to do the same.

However, when Texas lawmakers attempted to pass a bill last year that would have outlawed invasive TSA pat downs, the feds threatened to implement a blockade that would have imposed a de facto “no fly zone” over the lone star state.

Kicking out the incompetent, criminally-inclined and abusive TSA across the nation will not only encourage millions of peeved Americans to start flying again, pumping much needed money into the travel industry, it will also create thousands of new private sector jobs.

Seeing is believing.

If this reporter had any doubts regarding the validity of all those outrageous tales of the TSA groping and abusing everyday American travellers, those doubts were crushed this past weekend.

Whilst entering security at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport, I opted out of the TSA’s naked body scanner, requesting instead to have an ‘enhanced pat-down’ at which time I was summarily escorted to a side area where one other traveller was sitting, both of us waiting for a full security check-out by TSA agents. This other traveller was none other than math teacher, motivational speaker and Phoenix resident Jeff Lewis. He also happens to be  a quadruple amputee who travels regularly and is well known by TSA agents at this airport. Nonetheless, Jeff is stopped each time he travels through, where the TSA devote extra special attention to checking his person along with all four of his artificial prosthetics for explosives and other phantom menaces that theoretically could be hidden somewhere. A testament to his incredible wit, Jeff’s own good humor in the face of such extreme treatment eclipsed what is by anyone’s account, a somewhat humilating, very invasive and ultimately useless practice by the TSA.

Jeff was kind enough to grant us a short but very candid interview after we finally cleared security, where he puts the whole security issue into perspective (see video below).

Note: Infowars.com would like to thank Jeff Lewis for granting this brief interview and sharing his experiences with us.

Agency spokesperson “strongly cautioned” journalists to back off

Two mainstream media reporters have revealed that the TSA has “strongly cautioned” them not to cover the story of an engineer revealing major flaws in the agency’s $1 billion dollar body scanner program.

As we reported earlier this week, Engineer Jon Corbett of the popular blog TSA Out of Our Pants! posted a video that demonstrates how the TSA’s radiation firing scanners can easily be bypassed, when carrying metal objects.

Despite YouTube initially restricting the video for no discernable reason, the story went viral and the TSA was forced to respond, albeit in a way that only made the subject more pressing.

Now Corbett, who was the first person in the country to sue the TSA over the body scanners, says that two mainstream media journalists have contacted him to make it known that the TSA warned them off the story.

“I’ve been on the phone all day for the last 2 days with reporters and journalists of all kinds,” writes Corbett.

“One South Florida reporter told me that he had been “strongly cautioned” by the TSA not to cover this story. Absolutely unbelievable”

Corbett later updated his post to say that another reporter had also been “strongly cautioned” not to cover the story.

The reporters cite a TSA spokeswoman called Sari Koshetz as the person attempting to intimidate them out of covering the issue. They say that Koshetz described Corbett as someone who “clearly has an agenda” that “should not be aided by the mainstream media”.

“The TSA is clearly no fan of the 4th Amendment, nor of 5th Amendment due process rights, and now this blatant attempt to manipulate the free press with “strong caution” hits at Amendment the First.” writes Corbett on his blog.

“Why strong caution? Are there repercussions for journalists that fail to heed this “advice?” he asks.

“If you’re a journalist who has received any kind of similar warning, please contact me.” Corbett continues. “Everyone else, please take a moment to contact your local mainstream media outlets (Fox, ABC, NBC, CNN, etc.) to request that they cover the original story.”

Corbett praised the alternative media for diligently covering the story:

“The Internet has been absolutely amazing as have large alternative programs (Alex Jones, for example) and I do believe that we have successfully spread the word. But, if the TSA doesn’t want the MSM to cover it, there’s probably a reason, so let’s take the battle there!”

Concerns over martial law in America on a par with Islamic extremism

An L.A. Times report which characterizes the Sovereign Citizen movement as “a major threat” on a par with Islamic extremism infers that “more than 100,00 Americans” are domestic terrorists as a result of their affiliation with the group.

The article, entitled ‘Sovereign citizen’ movement now on FBI’s radar, frames the belief that “the U.S. is essentially under martial law,” along with support for reintroducing the gold standard, as political views indicative of violent extremism.

The report quotes Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center, who in one fell swoop demonizes “more than 100,00 Americans” as domestic terrorists.

“This is a movement that has absolutely exploded,” said Mark Potok, a senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center, a nonprofit organization based in Montgomery, Ala., that tracks domestic terrorists and hate groups. More than 100,000 Americans have aligned themselves with the sovereign citizens, the center said.

Potok specializes in seizing upon tragedies to push his organization’s political agenda. Immediately after the shooting of US Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, Potok took to the airwaves to blame the attempted assassination on the “radical right,” when the shooter, Jared Loughner, was described by those who knew him as a “left-wing pothead”.

Potok has been described as “the Boy Who Cried Right-Wing Terrorist” because of his obsession with exploiting almost every act of violence to impugn conservatives.

“The fact that he is consistently wrong about, well, just about everything — from the political views of the supposed right wingers to the supposedly violent nature of conservative groups to the mere presence of violent crime — does not seem to dissuade Old Media from using him to smear conservatives,” explains Lachlan Markay.

The SPLC makes tens of millions of dollars every year demonizing politically active Americans as domestic terrorists, making it the most profitable “civil rights charity” in America, and yet the establishment media continues to treat the organization and its mouthpieces like Potok as impartial observers.

Of course, any political group with such a substantial membership is bound to contain a smattering of crazies – the report claims members of the Sovereign Citizen movement have killed six police officers over the course of the last 12 years – but to demonize over 100,000 Americans as violent terrorists on a par with Al-Qaeda because they express concerns about the militarization of law enforcement is clearly asinine.

Unfortunately, it’s now par for the course.

Despite the fact that the federal government was forced to back down on framing Ron Paul supporters, libertarians, people who display bumper stickers, people who own gold, or even people who fly a U.S. flag, as terrorists under the infamous MIAC report, the rush to denounce legitimate political beliefs as thought crimes, or even mundane behaviors, by insinuating they are shared by terrorists, has accelerated in recent months.

Under the FBI’s Communities Against Terrorism program, the bulk purchase of food is labeled as a potential indication of terrorist activity, as is using cash to pay for a cup of coffee, and showing an interest in web privacy when using the Internet in a public place.

As we have documented on numerous occasions, the federal government routinely characterizes mundane behavior as extremist activity or a potential indicator of terrorist intent. As part of its ‘See Something, Say Something’ campaign, the Department of Homeland Security educates the public that generic activities performed by millions of people every day, including using a video camera, talking to police officers, wearing hoodies, driving vans, writing on a piece of paper, and using a cell phone recording application,” are all potential signs of terrorist activity.

Keywords agency is tracking include “body scanner,” “nationalist” , “police,” and “immigration”

A Homeland Security training manual belies claims made by DHS representatives during a Congressional hearing last week that the federal agency is only monitoring social media outlets for “situational awareness,” and proves the fact that Bis Sis is also tracking online criticism of government, including discussion of airport body scanners.

“Analysts for a Department of Homeland Security program that monitors social networks like Twitter and Facebook have been instructed to produce reports on policy debates related to the department, a newly disclosed manual shows,” reports the New York Times.

The manual, entitled Department of Homeland Security National Operations Center Media Monitoring Capability Desktop Reference Binder, was obtained by the Electronic Privacy Information Center via a FOIA request.

The controversy over DHS spying on social media erupted last month following the release of 300 documents which detailed how DHS had hired an outside contractor, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, to monitor social media outlets along with a list of websites, on a “24/7/365 basis,” in order to uncover “any media reports that reflect adversely on the U.S. Government and the Department of Homeland Security.”

During a subsequent Congressional hearing on the matter, DHS representatives Mary Callahan and Richard Chávez denied the fact that tracking criticism of government agencies formed any part of the program, and that the effort was merely aimed at developing “situational awareness” of potential threats, mostly related to extreme weather events.

However, the 2011 manual makes it abundantly clear that the program was a backdoor effort to keep tabs on what the American people were saying about not just the DHS, but a whole host of federal agencies, including the CIA, the ATF, the TSA, FEMA, as well as organizations outside of the U.S. government such as the United Nations and the Red Cross.

The ‘items of interest’ listed in the document which require monitoring of social media include, “policy directives, debates and implementations related to DHS.”

In addition, the list of keywords the DHS is tasked with monitoring include terms that have little to do with “situational awareness.”

During last week’s hearing, Callaham claimed that such keywords were restricted to “you know, flood, tornado and things like that.” In reality, the manual also directs DHS analysts to search for terms such as “China, cops, hacking, illegal immigrants, Iran, Iraq, marijuana, organized crime, police, pork and radicals.”

The words “militia,” “riot,” “body scanner,” and “nationalist” are also included in the list of keywords the DHS is tasked with monitoring.

The fact that Homeland Security is monitoring what people say about airport body scanners, in the aftermath of a wider national basklash against the TSA as a whole, dovetails with how the TSA has subjected people who refuse to use them to undue suspicion and questioning.

“The D.H.S. continues to monitor the Internet for criticism of the government,” EPIC’s Ginger McCall said in reference to the document. “This suspicionless, overbroad monitoring quells legitimate First Amendment activity and exceeds the agency’s legal authority.”

What you are about to watch is ridiculous. It’s absurd. But it is all the more ridiculous because it reflects what is really happening in society. It is the first 6 minutes from Alex Jones’ new documentary- which will premiere at both of his upcoming “Blueprint to Defeat the New World Order” speaking events in Dallas, TX and Orlando, FL.

This excerpt, “AMERIKA: Land of the Snitch is the humorous intro to a very serious documentary shedding light on the real threats that humanity faces, as the system tries to distract us with the false threats of terrorism, climate change and more.

Homeland Security has nested in Amerika, and hatched a veritable police state. Originally empowered with the notion of stopping terrorism, DHS has now shifted its mission, and is now dedicated to occupying the homeland and building up a snitch society modeled closely on East Germany’s Stasi. Under this occupation, being suspicious of everyone is the new religion, and citizens reach rapture when they report on their neighbors, friends and family members. Everything spoken in parable in George Orwell’s 1984 and parodied here in this video IS really being set into motion, no matter how ridiculous it seems.
